So....camping then
Dear god almighty!

The tent went up fine, Charlie and Gareth were there for some very  welcome help but I never EVER want to be a tent in that kind of weather again. A gale force storm is no fun when you think you're going to get blown out to sea. We were genuinely scared. There were people packing up and screaming. At one point Joe was holding the tent together with her bare hands until the guys got back to help. We killed the gazebo, it now has poles that do a 45' angle. Chris and Gareth had to run arond in the freezing rain repegging the guide ropes because they'd been wrenched out of the ground. And this is in the all weather tent. God only knows where some of the people ended up in their little 60's style 2 man affairs.

Apart from all that, it was a good weekend, it was hot enough on tuesday that I even paddled in the sea.

At some piint I have to introduce you to Dave the Dalek. He is the new member of the family and will be getting his own page on myspace. Always take a dalek to the beach. it gets you noticed.

More  and oics when I've recovered.

It was the worst weather we've ever had. At one point I nearly went to sleep in the car.
